Maughmer assists Apprentice Lineworker Program

MPUA’s Apprentice Lineworker Program has added a respected veteran  to its “coaching staff.”

Glen Maughmer began performing contract work for MPUA in August, helping to conduct training for the program. (Many career lineworkers know Glen by his nickname ‘Clifford’)

Prior to his new freelance work performed through the MPUA Resource Services Corporation, Maughmer retired as the lead field technical trainer for Evergy in Kansas City, where he had served since 2006.

Lineworkers who received their training in MPUA’s program in past years may already know Glen for his work administering Apprentice and Journeyman training classes in the Kansas City region for the National Utility Industry Training Fund (NUITF).

Maughmer lives in the Kansas City area near Basehor, Kansas. Away from work, he is active with the Boy Scouts of America, serving as a staff member for Camp Geiger in St. Joseph. He also has a home in the mountains of Wyoming, where he is a dedicated snowmobile enthusiast. He is married and has two grown sons.
