Due to travel restrictions with some of the Spring Tech presenters, the training planned for Rolla on March 18 and in Marshall on March 19 has been postponed.

MPUA apologizes for any inconveniences this causes. We are working with the presenters to find a time in June to hold what will now be Summer Tech. For those that have registered for Spring Tech, an email will be sent to you with more details.

As of March 13, MPUA has not canceled any of our other events, like Apprentice Lineworker testing. We will continue to monitor the coronavirus disease’s (COVID-19) impact throughout our region and will let you know of any cancellations of our activities. If your utility decides to restrict travel, we fully support your utility’s actions, just let us know if you can’t make it to any of our upcoming events.

We urge you to review emergency plans especially when it comes to staffing and supplies to ensure reliable service during this COVID-19 event. Please coordinate readiness efforts with your local health department and emergency management office. Remember the MPUA Mutual Aid program was established to help utilities with staffing needs. If your utility is not signed up for the program, more information can be found on our Mutual Aid webpage.
