34 graduate to Journeyman Lineman status

Fifteen Missouri apprentices and eleven Arkansas apprentices became certified as Journeyman Linemen by completing the academic requirements of the four-year MJMEUC Apprentice Lineman Training Program. In addition, two individuals became certified Underground Electrical System Specialists and six completed the Advanced Journeyman Program. The graduates will receive a certificate of completion from MPUA and the U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Apprenticeship and Training.

 

Since the inception of the Apprentice Lineman Training Program in 1989, there have been 602 apprentices graduate to Journeyman Lineman status. The 2016 class had a total of 107 apprentices enrolled from 49 member cities throughout the state of Missouri and 62 apprentices from 9 member cities in the state of Arkansas. To date there are 150 students (100-MO, 47-AR, 3-MS) registered for the 2017 Apprentice Program.

 

Congratulations to the following Missouri students on completing the apprentice program.  Joe Johnson from Ava; Trevor Buford, Thomas Burr & Zachary Dunakey from Columbia; Adam Carpenter from Kennett; Nathen See from LaPlata; Jerry Lemons & Shannon Page from Mansfield; Andrew Davis from Palmyra; Quentin Ashenfelter from Paris; Shad Jennings from Richland; Corey Weatherd from Stanberry; Derek Knowles from Unionville and Cody Smith from Waynesville. 

 

Congratulations also to Darrell Dillon & Tim Rippeto from the University of Missouri on becoming Underground Electrical System Specialists, and to Christopher Plant from Kahoka who completed the one-year Advanced Journeyman Lineman Program.

 

Congratulations to the following Arkansas students on completing the apprentice program, Derrick Bryant, Scott Cady, Kevin Engle, Bronson Inge, & Zachary Sullins from Arkansas Valley Electric; Jared Hunstable from Clarksville; Nathan Ball, Jake Ballard, & Travis Lauer from Conway; Justin Welch from Piggott; and Luke Hill from Siloam Springs.

 

In addition, Philip Adcock Jr., Eugene Chew, & William Stallings from Osceola; David Richey from Paragould; and Jerry Hudson from Siloam Springs all completed the one‑year Advanced Journeyman Lineman Program.
